We are only in the fifth month of official existence, and we can boast about another great achievement. At the fourth International evaluation of brandies and liqueurs, organized by "Gospodarski list" and the Faculty of Agriculture in Zagreb, our distillery won a gold diploma in the gin competition. Yes, you heard right, we won gold! Not silver, not bronze, not a thank you for participating, but real, pure gold. We even have a picture as proof! Therefore, there is a serious tendency for our craft gin to be one of the most successful gins from this region. Right after Boban Marjanović.
But let's move on to other topics. Holidays are coming, or have already arrived. It depends on which calendar you value more. In this text, we have only one agenda, and that is to convince you why our gin is an ideal gift for the New Year holidays. The simplest answer to this question is - it just is. But okay, I think we'll have to try a little harder to convince you.
Well, let's put it this way. Webster's dictionary defines a gift as an item given without a particular reason, expectation, or compensation, on special occasions such as: holidays, name days, birthdays, weddings, or other celebrations. OK, maybe our gin is not exactly an ideal wedding gift, since it barely fits in an envelope. A wedding might be out, but other occasions from the definition above are totally suitable.
With the gift itself, you need to be creative and show how well you know that person. Let's be real, many of us are not creative and experience gift shopping as something very demanding and difficult. That's why buying a bottle of alcohol is an ideal way to show that you care about someone and that you are not stingy. The question, of course, is which bottle of alcohol should you buy?
Wine? You can do that, but be sure that the person you gave the drink to will only pass it on to someone else as a gift. Cognac? Not everyone likes cognac, believe me! Whiskey? OK, good choice, but only the more expensive ones are an option. Gin? Great choice! Why? Well, you didn't go for the most obvious options. It's also creative in terms of cocktails. You have, for example, gin and tonic, gin and soda, or Negroni. One of the most viral clips from last year is when the actress who played Rhaenyra Targaryen talks about how she loves Negroni, and gin goes into this cocktail. Maybe you didn't know that?
