Priuštite sebi bar hopping

What do you think, has anyone ever bought Haris Džinović gin for his birthday?! And who guarantees us that Haris Džinović even likes gin? Realistically, he looks more like a guy who appreciates good whiskey or a glass of quality red wine. It's hard to imagine Haris Džinović walking into a cafe, going to the bar and saying – I'll have a gin and tonic! If anyone has contact with his family, they can give us this information. Let them ask, and we will try to send him a bottle, so he can become our brand ambassador.

OK, we've strayed a bit from the topic. Today is March 8th. A date that represents the day of struggle for economic, social, and political equality between women and men. And from us men, it is expected that on this day we give some nice gift to the fairer sex. And that's where we all make a mistake when we give ladies flowers or chocolate. Couldn't you have been more creative, my friend? Valentine's Day was just 22 days ago, and you chose the same then too.

Our suggestion for this March 8th is bar hopping, or pub crawl, if you prefer English over American terminology. For the uninitiated, this phenomenon has become popular in the last ten years and is quite popular at bachelor and bachelorette parties, as well as on some other special occasions. Basically, you go out into the city, and if you know you're going to have a few drinks, you decide not to stay in one place, but have one and then move on to the next place. The good thing about bar hopping is that you won't get drunk quickly, as you take longer breaks between drinks and walk to the next place.

Of course, you're now wondering why you saw a recommendation for this type of entertainment on a craft gin sales website? That's because you recently have other ways to get our gin. The doors are still open to you at Metohijska 24, and of course you can still order gin from our website. We assume you've already done so while reading this blog. The important thing is that you can now find our gin in several cafes and bars, and it is precisely in them that you should carry out this March 8th bar hopping.

Now you're probably wondering where to start this endeavor. You expect a place in the center, because that's where the main events are. Well, you're wrong there. We think you should do the exact opposite, move a little away from the city center and head to Milana Jovanovića 14, in the municipality of Čukarica, where Pivologija Beer Shop & Bar is located. A place with a pleasant atmosphere and a very serious collection of beers on offer. OK, you'll ignore that beer this time, because you'll have your first gin and tonic of the tour there, and since our gin is quite drinkable, you'll order another one. That will be your reward for showing initiative and going to a very nice place outside the city center.

Let's move on. There's a nearby station where you can catch a ride that takes you directly to the center. From there, you can easily reach Cetinjska 15, with venues that have been the main nightlife spots for the past few years. Probably the most popular of all is the one that opened first, which is Zaokret. Since the end of 2015, it has become synonymous with going out in Cetinjska. You'll have your next drink there and hang out for a bit. You can even ask the friendly staff to make you a gin cocktail, like a negroni, but insist that it be made with Zločin i kazan gin.

Speaking of cocktails, at the next venue we highly recommend ordering the Idiot cocktail. You'll find it at Ljubimac, a venue that's very close to Zaokret. Only about thirty meters away. The Idiot cocktail is their invention, inspired by our gin. If by any chance you haven't connected the dots, both the cocktail and our distillery were somewhat named after Dostoevsky. Of course, if you're not in the mood for experimenting, you can always stick to a gin and tonic, or try gin with soda or sparkling water.

Since you're already warmed up after these two places in Cetinjska, it's time to cool down a bit and take a walk. It's gotten a bit warmer after all, so it'll feel good. And it's not a long walk, about twenty minutes to Kneginje Zorke 3, where Drvo javorovo is located. A well-known kafana with a pleasant, homey atmosphere in the style of old Belgrade kafanas. You can end your bar hopping there, because it's a workday after all, you probably don't want to stay out too late.

Of course, you don't have to practice this route only on March 8th. There are other days of the week, and the weather forecast says spring has arrived. Thursday is March 9th, so all voters of the Serbian Renewal Movement can celebrate their important date by following the aforementioned route. Only the last stop will be TV Bastilja. Friday is March 10th, so bar hopping can last longer. And on Saturday and Sunday, you don't have to go bar hopping, but you can head to Žorža Klemensoa 19, to Barrel House where the " Belgrade Bar Show – Spirit edition" will be held from 2 PM to 10 PM.

"Belgrade Bar Show – Spirit edition" is a festival dedicated to bar professionals, hedonists, and lovers of quality spirits, combining professional presentations and product tastings, lectures and workshops, as well as entertainment with well-known Belgrade DJs. Unlike last year, when the festival participants were the most famous cocktail bars, this year's edition of the Belgrade Bar Show is dedicated to domestic and imported brands of strong alcoholic beverages. We'll be there both days, so stop by, say hello, try the gin, and of course - buy a bottle
